This collection (1925-1978, n.d.) contains materials of George W. Snedecor, including: biographical information, correspondence, memorials, newspaper clippings and press releases, and copies of published works. The biographical information includes clippings, faculty information forms, photographs, and press releases. Several other files contain writings about Snedecor and information regarding his retirement, including a book of autographs of faculty and staff who worked under Snedecor in the Statistics Laboratory. There are also files of correspondence and other materials related to memorials following his death. A family genealogy compiled by James Gayle Snedecor documenting the Alabama branch of the Snedecor family can be found in the collection. The collection also contains copies of Snedecor's published works. Copies of his and Henry Wallace's original and revised bulletin Correlation and Machine Calculation are included as well as a manuscript, two reports Snedecor wrote after reviewing programs at other universities, and reprints of Snedecor's published papers. Books written by Snedecor are available in the ISU Library and can be found by searching the Library catalog.
